Give Blood. Give Hope. Give Back to Martinez.

Updated: 2 minutes ago

This February, the Rotary Club of Martinez is proud to partner with the Martinez Lady Lions, Lions, Martinez Kiwanis, and Soroptimist International of Martinez to host a community blood drive benefiting local patients and hospitals. Together, these service organizations are coming together with one shared goal: saving lives right here in our community.

The Martinez community blood drive will take place on Thursday, February 26, 2026, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at Grace Episcopal Church in Martinez. Donors who give blood in February will also receive a $15 gift card as a thank you for their generosity, courtesy of Vitalant.

Why This Blood Drive Matters

Every blood donation has a ripple effect. One donation can help save up to three lives, supporting patients undergoing surgeries, cancer treatments, trauma care, and emergency procedures. Blood cannot be manufactured, it can only come from volunteer donors. That means local hospitals rely on community members stepping up when the need is greatest.

By hosting this drive, Martinez service organizations are helping ensure a stable and reliable blood supply for the region. It is a simple act with an extraordinary impact, one that directly supports neighbors, friends, and families throughout Contra Costa County and beyond.

Community Collaboration at Its Best

This blood drive reflects the strength of collaboration in Martinez. Rotary, Lions, Kiwanis, and Soroptimist organizations each have a long standing commitment to service, and this partnership highlights what is possible when service clubs work together for the greater good. It is not just about donating blood, it is about showing up for the community and making a tangible difference together.
