Where the money goes
Through fundraising projects and events, the Martinez Rotary Foundation donates over $20,000 each year to over 20 separate organizations, including:
- $4500 in scholarships at Alhambra High School
- $3000 in scholarships at Vicente High School
- $1500 scholarship at College Park High School
- $1000 donation to the Kennedy-King Scholarship Foundation
- $250 to Muir Land Trust
- $200 to Martinez Historical Society
- $500-$1000 to Martinez Boys and Girls Club
- $250 to PACE
- $3200 for 2 students to attend Camp Royal (leadership camp)
- $250-$500 to Martinez Education Foundation
- Vicente School & Environmental Studies (the amount varies)
- $1300 to Adopt a Family. We provide food and gifts for 3 families at Christmas
- $250-$1000 to the Food Bank of Contra Costa & Solano Counties
- $300 to Martinez Young Woman of the Year
- $250-$500 to Monument Crisis Center
- $250-$1000 to Meals on Wheels. In addition, our members deliver over 750 meals annually.
- $250 to Shelter Inc. In addition, several times during the year we prepare and serve dinner 5 nights a week.
- $250 to CASA
- $250 to Alhambra Grad Night
- $250 to College Park Grad Night
- $2500 to Arrive Alive Program at Alhambra High School
